In May of 2012, Vitality Link joined with Tribe Yoga, Himalaya Valley Yoga, Pranashama Yoga Institute, Purna Yoga East, Agama Yoga, & Sunstone Yoga Academy to offer one aspiring Yoga student the chance to win a free scholarship to train as a Yoga instructor.

These schools offer unique opportunities for students to explore their practice and expand their understanding of yoga, while getting solid theoretical and practical knowledge. For many, their success has come purely through word of mouth and the inspiring stories of former students who explained how their experience with these schools changed their lives. 

The winner of this year’s Yoga Teacher Training Challenge was Pollyanna – her touching essay “Yoga – My Life’s Journey” gathered over 1300 votes and almost 4000 shares and comments. She has decided to take her scholarship with Pranashama at their studio in Bali. Pollyanna told us how much winning the challenge has changed her life.

A special mention goes to our runners up as well for the energy they put into gathering votes and inspiring us by showing how much yoga had changed their lives for the better.

Lindsay's essay "It's Time To Shake Things Up" Katy's application to Agama “Moving Into Stillness" and Amber’s essay for Sunstone Yoga Academy “Grow in Yoga” all deserve particular recognition for the efforts their author's put into spreading their message.
