Modalities: Reiki
- With Master level you will receive one attunement to the Usui Master symbol. The Japanese refer to this ceremony as Reiju (pronounced Ray-Joo) and translated, it means "Spiritual Blessing." A Reiki Master Teacher does not pass along any special healing powers, but merely provides or creates a safe place for the student to draw upon universal life-force energy by connecting to the universal energy source. When receiving attunement or Reiju at each Reiki level, the student accepts universal blessings, which supports them on their journey of self-responsibility for their own spiritual progress.
- You will learn two new symbols, how to draw them and when to use them:
- Dai-Ko-Myo (pronounced Die-Coe-Me-Oh) – is the Usui Master symbol or the Master Empowerment symbol, which is an all-purpose healing symbol, plus it is used during the attunement process
- Raku (pronounced Raw-Koo) – is the attunement transmission and disconnection symbol, which is only used during the attunement ceremony to ground and seal the energies of the symbols into the student, plus to disconnect the energies between the student and the teacher
- The main focus for being attuned to the Master level is to become a Reiki Master Teacher. Once you have received Master attunement, you cannot change your mind, because the symbols are with you for life; therefore this should be regarded as a life altering decision
- The importance for becoming a Reiki Master Teacher is not so much about teaching; it’s really about seriously committing to….
…..understand the energy-based healing art of Reiki …..offer a healing and teaching practice …..maintain a spiritual discipline …..show un-conditional love and empathy for all living things …..become a role model for others to follow …..become a universal servant for the improvement of humanity
- To be an effective Reiki Master Teacher, you are required to:
- Have knowledge, experience, understanding and compassion for others (Note: Being “compassionate” isn’t about feeling “sorry” for others and wanting to “baby” them. As you develop wisdom, compassion also develops, but it is an “uninvolved” compassion, where you avoid creating co-dependent relationships or situations. Instead of feeling “sorry” for others, you help by acting appropriately and effectively by using wisdom - you encourage others to become empowered. You develop “compassion” by first opening your Heart Chakra and then your 3rd Eye Chakra)
- Show wisdom
- Be a good role model
- Teach in a manner that will encourage, as well as empower others to reach their own greatest personal and spiritual potential
- There are many who want to be attuned to the Master Teacher level because they think or have been told that it will increase their healing power. It is believe that the amount of energy channeled increases about 400% from first taking Reiki Level 1 to completing the Master Teacher Level (E.g. electricity current changes from A.C. to D.C. or direct current). Some also believe that through Master level attunement, your energy frequency is raised and your intuitive powers are heightened, thus making you a more powerful healer.
- An important aspect to remember is, becoming a powerful Reiki healer has nothing to do with how powerful your teacher deems to be, how close their lineage is linked to Usui sensei, how many Reiki levels you have completed or how many Reiki symbols you may have learned. As a Reiki practitioner, increased healing power is built upon how strong your connection is to the universal energy source and how well you can maintain pure, focused intention.
Note: Some teachers believe that by participating in re-attunement (or reiju) at Reiki shares, each re-attunement will increase your healing ability. While there is nothing wrong with receiving additional reiju, it is not entirely necessary. What is more important is to develop your own daily schedule for self practice using Reiki, deep breathing exercises and meditation, plus following a balanced lifestyle.
