Distant/Absentee Healing

 Precaution – avoid sending distant healing when the other person is driving or operating machinery.  If possible, establish a designated time for sending healing or set your intention that Reiki will be received at the appropriate time and for the highest good.

How to Prepare Yourself and Your Space

• Find a quiet comfortable room
• Make yourself feel relaxed and comfortable:
• light candles
• play soft music
• turn off phone
• Ground and protect yourself
• When finished your healing session, cleanse yourself (to disconnect your energy)

Ask Permission

• When working on the astral level, always ask for permission to heal
• You are bound by the Reiki healer’s code of ethics (see page 48) to respect the person’s wishes

• Send Reiki to the person’s spirit guides and ask for the healing energy to be sent when it’s appropriate
• Send Reiki to the earth or universe to be shared by all who need it at the appropriate time

• Send the person healing light - allow it to transform into any colour it chooses - all colours are positive as long as they are bright and beautiful (black may be sent as long as the intent is positive)
