What can you expect during and after a session?

You will be lying down in a comfortable position fully clothed on a Reiki table. If you prefer you can stay seated in a chair for the session. My hands will stay a few inches above your body or gently rest with light pressure at various points from head to toe. Reiki is not massage.

During the session you may experience a variety of sensations ranging from tingling, warmth, deep relaxation and emotional shifts. Experiences differ from person to person and from session to session.

While I don’t try to speak to everyone’s Reiki experience I can tell you it is very common to feel a deep level of relaxation and well being during the session and in the days following a session. I find it is helpful to remain open to the Reiki healing experience and not place too many expectations on the outcome.

In your session I incorporate the following steps as appropriate so that you can take away skills and experiences to use in your life everyday:

• Intuitive assessment of your emotional, energetic, spiritual and mental fields
• Guided meditation and breathing exercises to ensure that you are mindfully present in the session
• Collaborative discussion begins the discovery process
• Bring awareness to your beliefs
• Integration of the energy flow in your emotional, energetic, spiritual and mental fields

My Story:

What brought you to Reiki? After a few years of questionable health, asking questions and not receiving answers, I made my first Reiki appointment with a sense trepidation and a feeling that I had nothing to lose by trying an unconventional method of healing. I did not think that my first Reiki appointment was going to be the answer to all my problems or that there was even going to be a second appointment. Fast forward to present day and I realize that after all my years of asking questions about health and life that my first Reiki appointment did provide the answers to my questions and was the catalyst for taking personal responsibility for the current and future state of my emotional, spiritual, physical and energetic health.

What made you decide to become a Reiki practitioner? My personal experience has grown a very sincere desire to give forward. Many years of practice and dedicated study have lead to this point and I love that I am in a position to give to others and continue my education.

How has your travel informed your practice? A innate sense of curiosity and need for adventure pushed me out of the nest to the world beyond - hiking through the Himalayas, living in the Middle East and in France and working on a yacht floating across the Indian Ocean. There were a few other stops while on the road. As you can imagine there have been so many wonderful, bittersweet and funny stories along the way. I have gone out into the world to experience as much as I could so that I could learn to use my own inner wisdom; it has served me well. Embodying the alchemist, teacher and explorer archetypes, I draw upon timeless wisdom to inspire people to create and claim responsibility for their own emotional, spiritual, mental and physical health.
