    My name is Barbara Prud'homme, and I am a food lover, mother of twins, sometimes yogi, and a holistic health coach! My education and personal experience have let me see the  dramatic results that can be achieved when  nutritional  and lifestyle improvements are made. Learning proper nutrition gave me the knowledge to give my body what it needs, and to develop a sustainable, healthy lifestyle - and I can help you do the same. 

    As a Health Coach, I help my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial.  Nutrition  and healthy eating don't have to be confusing when you have the right person, who understands YOUR unique lifestyle needs, working with you.

    How often do clients come for a Health Coaching session?

    Clients who opt to participate in the 6 month Transformation Program typically come in for two sessions per month to set their goals, implement changes, and track their progess.

    How long is a typical Health Coaching session?

    Each biweekly session lasts approximately 50-60 minutes. 

    How does Health Coaching work?

    Health coaches use skills such as motivational interviewing, goal setting, action planning and problem solving to best meet the needs of individual patients to making behaviour change and achieving better health outcomes.

    With health coaching, patients feel listened to and respected. Health coaching meets patients’ need to be informed, engaged, and an active partner in care.

    I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.

    During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. David Katz, Dr. Walter Willett; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.

    I also recieved my BScH from Queen's University in Life Sciences. My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results!
