We all share one thing in common: inhabiting a human body. But how embodied do you consider yourself? Are there areas of your body that feel stiff or numb rather than articulate and easy?
Imagine those areas are encased in a tight wetsuit that prevent you from moving freely...
Rolfing SI can help open the soft tissue so you can feel taller, lighter, and expansive from the inside out.
If you are interested in being more physically present and adaptable, give Rolfing SI a try.
Hello! My name is Aline Wachsmuth. I am a Certified Rolfer™, Movement Educator, and Professional Dancer.
I was first introduced to Rolfing® Structural Integration as a dance major at Florida State University. Having deep curiosity about the body and its infinite movement possibilities led me to try the ten series; despite the stories I had heard about it being painful and challenging work.
After leaving each Rolfing SI session, I felt an incredible sense of lift, spaciousness, and availability to take on any problem that came my way. Bringing the information I was learning into the dance studio awakened me to the subtleties, the choices I unknowingly passed through. The work made tremendous changes in my performance, my sense of independence, and the relationships with the people in my life.
I immediately knew that this was the work I needed to share with the world. As we get swept into the ever-increasing pace of society, hunched in front of our computers, we forget that movement is a fundamental key to feeling vibrant and healthy. Allowing the inherent movement of our bodies to unfold can create a more accessible means of embodying joy and pleasure, as well as a way to move through physical and emotional demands.
I am proudly a Certified Rolfer™, graduate of the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration®, and continue to pursue my career as a professional dancer and dance teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or are interested in scheduling a session.
