As an Educator, Family Practitioner, Author and Workshop facilitator my life's work is about creating healthy relationships within your family, promoting self-mastery and opening those doors to being able to achieve those hard to reach goals. I have Masters degrees in Child Development and Educational Leadership. I am also an ordained metaphysician. My web site is www.allaboutyourchildren.com. My e-mail address is .

    Occupation

    Family Counselor, Life Coach,

Hello, my name is Stephen  and my personal mission has been directed to empower ourselves and our children in order to create healthier relationships within our family.

My academic experience  focuses on the needs of the special needs child and also a holistic view on how to create a balance between the home and the school. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology with an emphasis on child development. My Masters in Learning Disabilities focuses on children with learning disabilities, behavior disorders and developmental disabilities. My Masters in Education Administration focuses on leadership skills in the workplace and how to maximize performance and motivational levels of  staff so that they may strive to be exemplary role models to their students and fellow teachers.

For the past 12 years I have been working as a family coach.  My program Parent College is designed to empower the caregiver no matter what the circumstance to create positive changes within their situation. It is specifically designed to teach the caregiver how to be outstanding teachers, guides and advocates to their children.

I have also trained other professionals to go out and do this family work.  The training program  created follows this outline:

    • Looking at environmental stressors.
    • Self-awareness and its potential impact on change in the family.
    • Parenting Styles and temperaments of your child – An opportunity      for powerful change.
    • How to bridge the gap between your working environment and family      life?
    • Nutritional habits and their effects on the individual and family
    • Exercise regimens and there effects on the individual and family
    • The social and academic performance of your children.
    • How to manage and motivate your child.
    • Cultural differences between families.
    • How to identify special needs within the family.
    • How to deal with grief, loss and the cycle of failure within the      child. Within the adult.
    •  How to develop a      partnership with the school system.
    • The role that caregivers play. The role of the child.
    • What are the things that may be inhibiting caregivers from      achieving those goals that they have?
    • What to do about them?

In addition, I am  a published author and what follows are brief descriptions of my work:

"There is No Magic" is a valuable resource for anyone in contact with at-risk children. Even though "There Is No Magic" was written for parents of children with special needs, it can be applied to helping all families develop techniques and strategies that will promote more holistic environments and enhance the child's physical, social and educational growth and development.

    The 2nd  is entitled:

“Wisdom in the Family" focuses on practical experience, guiding children and families to understand how they can be the best they can be.

    The 3rd is called:

"I Knew I Shouldn't have done it.. but.. I did!" is about relationships. We tend to attract experiences and relationships that repeat themselves causing confusion, frustration and anger. We want to find the answer but don't know how.

The book has 3 distinct parts; The first is identifying certain developmental stages that we go through in life. Like beginning to crawl, then learning how to stand up for who we are, how to deal with our obstacles, humiliations, crisis, etc; learning how to get really good and feeling comfortable with those around us; Learning how to be of help to others that are around us.

The second part is identifying some tools that will help us develop a greater understanding of who we are, tools that we can use to help us navigate through our unique life experiences

    And

The third are actual life experiences that when shared will help others in their step by step journey. That will help others feel better in the knowing that they are not alone. Will help others shift and transform into someone who can better manage their own life situation and facilitate the next step for them to make.

I look forward to having the opportunity to open up those doors which will help to craete healthier relationships within your family.

    Stephen
