I’m a shamanic healer: I use ancient energy work to facilitate insight and empowerment. This healing work can help you move forward and clear, transform, and rise above what holds you back.  My approach combines indigenous traditions from several cultures, most notably the Q'ero of Peru, with Buddhism, Yoga, reiki, and 25 years of creative training and performance work to create a comprehensive and compassionate healing experience.

Please feel free to explore my website and get to know me better, including what my clients have had to say.  I also have a blog and Facebook page, so you'll be able to get a better sense of what I'm all about.

Check out my Youtube channel for a guided journey meditation and my musings on shamanism.

I'm happy to answer questions if you're not sure what you're looking for or need more information.

I strive to be knowledgable, gentle, and lighthearted in everything I do.  If you're ready for things to shift and are curious to try shamanic healing, I hope to hear from you.  I check email several times per day.  Short phone conversations are welcome prior to scheduling an appointment.

    Occupation

    Shamanic Healer & Intuitive

I offer one-on-one consultations by phone and skype, as well as in person in Pleasantville, NY (Westchester County).  Each session is roughly an hour.  There is no set number of sessions, and people invariably report feeling much better - in mind, body, and spirit - after their first one.

Other offerings include Intuitive Readings, done by email - just email me your picture and hit the paypal button on your site and you will receive a written reading and Oracle card so that you can refer back to it any time you feel the need.

I am ordained and love to perform weddings and other ceremonies.  I also teach workshops - please check my calendar for details.

Describe a typical Shamanic Healing session:

We begin by discussing the intention for the session: why are you here, how do you feel and how would you like to feel?  I may ask a few questions to help determine exactly where in your energy field - and in your life - particular shifts can be facilitated.

I will listen to my spirit allies and guides, who show me how best to work with your energy and support your intentions. Then we'll do the actual energy work, which involves you laying down comfortably while I use one or a combination of tools and techniques to remove, shift, or introduce energies.  Sometimes, I may ask you stand or move as part of the work, or we may write a ceremony or new affirmations for you to practice with, as well.

When we're done, there will be more time to chat and ask questions.  I usually assign "homework" so that you can continue integrating our work on your own.

How long is a typical Shamanic Healing session?

I do my best to keep sessions to one hour, give or take.

How often do clients come for a Shamanic Healing session?

I heartily recommend more than one session, as a continuation of the work we began originally or to address other issues, but there is no set schedule.

What would you tell anyone wondering if Shamanic Healing will help them?

This work has changed my life.

It has also been around for millenia, all across the globe.  Talk about time-tested!

What are the benefits/results people see from Shamanic Healing?

Insight, peace, relaxation, connection to Spirit, feelings of empowerment and renewal, inspirationa and motivation, clarity, relief.

Fears and "heavy" feelings are often alleviated in one or two sessions.

Because we believe that mind, body, and spirit are all one thing, physical health and vitality also improve with shamanic healing.  Chronic pain and illness can often be alleviated through this form of energy work.

    Professional Training

Mikki Davis has studied with shamans from around the world and received initiations from Q’ero elders in Peru.  Her approach to healing fuses indigenous traditions with yoga, Buddhism, and almost three decades of creative training as a performer, writer, and musician.  She was the Director of a 9/11 foundation in New York City, and helped create and maintain programs to assist many thousands of people—while undertaking her own healing journey.  She has been featured in two books about post-disaster resiliency: Life Is Too Short and On the Ground After September 11.  Mikki is ordained, and a member of the Society of Shamanic Practitioners.
