"To provide people of all ages with awareness, hope & power. To heal the body, mind & emotional self through the journey of silent Joga. "
Description
Shakali Joga is owned by a young women filled with determination, drive and energy- who has great goals in expanding her business, growth as an individual, and teaching all her knowledge of how to be; how to actually appreciate, live a life filled with happiness, contentment and accepting what is.
The truth of the matter is life waits for no one, time does not stop for any one- we are the creators of us. We choose what happens to our body, what we hold on to, what our thoughts are... you hear individuals say life is easier then we think and it is, and I am here to guide you towards that life style. See yoga, I believe, is the missing link in each of our lives for it gives you the time and space to what you really need, time and space. Isn’t that funny.
Shakali Joga is based around Akhanda yoga, which is a branch of Hatha teachings; in which my opinion it is the mother of all practices, for it combines everything. From breathing techniques, meditation, stretching the muscles, to toning and strengthening them. A great mix of yin and ashtanga moves. My method of teaching is to be in the moment; no moment in time is ever the same nor is the body the same today as yesterday. Therefore each class changes from week to week. I teach at a pace where it is easy to follow along and you never fall behind. If you are new to yoga, I create that environment for you through my words and demonstrations where you feel at home and confident in your body. So ultimately is it up to you
Ask yourself what your values are, whats important- and then contact me so we can concur those obstacles hidden within each and everyone of us. Challenge yourself this year... What do you have to lose?

I truley believe we all have the power to heal our selfs, and help effect others. In order to heal not only is the body and mind connected but the emotional self is release; finding liberation.
India within an ashram.
Be still. Be silent. All the answers are already within you.
I have discovered yoga to be the missing link to a balanced and healthy life style. Not only does it help reduce stress (and all other benifits), but it reshaped me into who I really am.
Depending on the individual. If your body connected and you feel good to come to 3 classes a week, by all means. Also some people may sign up for yoga for rehabilitation, and they may come to a restorative class twice a week...it really differs body to body.
-Drink plenty of water 24 hours before the class, because whatever style you will be detoxing.
-Eat a good sized meal but wait for an hour to an hour and a half before your practice.
-Comfortable clothing of course. Bring a water, small towel and yoga mat
-Inform instructor of any injuries in the body
...most importantly don't take a class seriously. Yoga is about exploring and having fun!
I teach at a many different spaces/ studio locations. Each is different. Do your research. Drop by and look within each place. Which ever you are drawn too that's your place.
It will change your life if you get out of your own way and allow things to manifest. No matter your age, experiences, body type... it doesn't matter. Yoga is for everyone
How you want it to work :)
Its all about having a connection with your teacher. If you click with them, no questions need to be asked
No such thing. Everyone is
It helped me to... trust, to uncover fear and concur it, let go of grief or shame, gave me hope and power, soften my shoulders which humans hold the emotion responsibility in, it aloud me to build a relationship with myself and love myself and accept me. The list goes on-
When living in Vancouver BC. Once I started practicing I never looked back
Yogi Vishvketu, is the main individual I look up to. Also from all the other teachers I meet along the way affect me and my teaching techniques. Everyone has a gift big or small.
Affecting individuals lives. Whether it be small or big I love to help and encourage strength and self growth
Yes. As posted in my profile. Healing can come from reading a book for one to painting a picture or writting a poem for another. All those hobbies you enjoy to do heal apart of the self, or better yet heals that wounded child within you.
Yoga is yoga. It is all the same. The only things that changes is music, lights, teachers, words, speed- but it is all on the path to the same things that we all want to work on. Balance, health, well being. Postures will always be the same but it is you who's different each session, therefore working deeper not just physically but emotionally and mentally. In order to let the body release one must let go of the ego and emotional pain in the body.
The most popular one is; Is yoga for me?
