Thai Massage / Thai Yoga Bodywork

Thai Massage is an ancient art of body therapy for healing, health, and transformation. Thai Massage is an interactive manipulation of your body using passive stretching and gentle pressure along energy lines. These movements help to: * Adjust your skeletal structure * Increase flexibility * Relieve muscular and joint tension * Stimulate internal organs * Balance your body‘s energy system The effect is uniquely relaxing as well as energising. Thai Massage techniques are applied in a quietly meditative atmosphere. This leads to space being created in your musculoskeletal structure, your body begins to open and regain flexibility and ease of movement, while your mind gently returns to calm alertness. Tension and toxic material is released from your joints, muscles, and connective tissue. Your body’s energy, as well as your internal organs, are stimulated by pressure on reflex points. The unhurried gentle rocking and rhythmical style of Thai Massage, together with the moves and postures designed to open up the energy channels, can often induce a meditative state, where all sense of time is lost. This ‘state‘ enhances your body‘s ability to heal itself and restore inner balance by instilling complete relaxation and calm. During a massage, the practitioner works systematically through your entire body, literally from the tips of your toes to the crown of your head. The effect is to increase energy levels, melt away stress and tension, improve flexibility and bring balance to your body, mind and spirit. Thai Massage is used as a remedial and preventative therapy. It also encourages healthier sleep patterns, which gives your nervous system the fighting chance it needs to promote self-healing and restore balance. There is no age limit for a Thai Massage but it is not recommended for those who have had recent surgery, are pregnant, or suffer from heart disease.
