In our Yoga 101" classes you will set your intention to experience the joy of "winding down and preparation for an excellent weekend" as you stretch, strengthen, ground, balance, breathe and relax practicing Yoga. Increasing our ability to focus, remain mentally sharp and creating energy while enjoying inner calm. Our instructor* offers a unique yoga practice. Slow and gentle, allowing the body to accept the asanas, (poses) enhancing your breathing. Students are able to deepen their practice finding peace and compassion.
Yoga 101 will explore the basic yoga postures (asanas) in depth while learning to apply the principles of alignment and conscious breathing. Yoga 101 students will learn standing postures and forward bends as well as beginning their introduction to postural alignment.
Many medical doctors and physical therapists recommend yoga.
Bring yoga mat and towel or small blanket. Yoga blocks and straps provided. Wear comfortable clothing. Amaze yourself to find how empowering one hour of yoga; honoring yourself can be for YOU! This class is designed for both men and women, beginners and seasoned yogi's! (Modifications to poses as needed).
