Shambhala Training is a sequence of contemplative weekend workshops suitable for people of any spiritual tradition or way of life, looking to explore the transformative benefits of meditation. Suited for both beginning and experienced meditators, each workshop includes:

Ethan Nichtern is a student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. At 33, he is currently the youngest empowered Senior Teacher, or Shastri, in the global Shambhala community. He is the founder of the Interdependence Project a nonprofit organization dedicated to Buddhist-inspired meditation and psychology, integral activism, mindful arts, and meaningful media. Ethan teaches at Eugene Lang College at New School University and has lectured at Brown, Wesleyan, Yale and New York Universities. He has been featured on CNN and NPR to discuss Buddhism and meditation in the 21st Century. His writing has been featured on The Huffington Post, Beliefnet, Tricycle Magazine, BuddhaDharma Magazine, Reality Sandwich, as well as other online publications. Ethan is the author of the acclaimed book One City: A Declaration of Interdependence (Wisdom Pubs) and Your Emoticons Won't Save You. He is also an avid yoga practitioner.
