Nurturing our Bodies, Honoring our Stories
A day of Yin yoga, writing & astrology
with Emily and Dawn of Portland Women Writers
Sunday, February 5, 10am-4:30pm
Hidden Lake Retreat, Eagle Creek, www.hiddenlakeretreat.org
Cost: $120.00
We invite you to Hidden Lake Retreat, a magical sanctuary of exquisite beauty, for a day of Yin yoga, writing, astrology, and an organic mid-day meal.
We meet soon after Mars - planet of action and desire - has turned Retrograde, inviting us to slow down, turn inward, and reconsider and revitalize our enthusiasm and passion. Mars is in Virgo, the sign of refinement, discrimination and purification. We'll explore how to support forward momentum by sifting through what truly nourishes us and what drains our energy.
This sculpting of time and space to be with our bodies and muse are essential for our well-being as women. When we gift ourselves with a day to reconnect with our very tissue, our hearts, and our voices, we are restored, rejuvenated and uplifted.
We will alternate between writing from the body and practicing Yin yoga. Yin yoga is a deeply relaxing practice that targets the connective tissue, which responds to slow, gentle, persistent stretching. The benefits include increasing the range of motion in the joints, and improving the flow of energy through the body. While we relax into the long, supported poses, Emily will offer guidance for navigating the next few months of Mars Retrograde.
This workshop is limited to 9 participants. No writing, yoga or astrology experience necessary.
