Class Description:
If you don't know anything about Aromatherapy or you have worked with essential oils, this is a great class. This class will be an introduction to the benefits of Aromatherapy, including therapeutic benefits and aroma psychology, contraindications, blending and using carrier oils.

In the first portion of the class we will be discussing and sampling approximately 8 essential oils and experiencing an additional 20 more oils, including several different types of Lavenders. We will also discuss using Aromatherapy at home for common ailments. Some of the oils on our list will be Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender), Melaleuca alternifolia (Australian Tea Tree), Eucalyptus Globulus, Mentha piperita (Peppermint), Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary). Students will receive a handout of information including various recipe ideas for blends such as "Sweet Dreams", an aromatherapy blend that includes Lavender essential oil.

After lunch we will make 3 specialty items. 4 oz aroma body spray, 4 oz custom blended massage oil and a 4 oz jar of aromatherapy salt crystals including botanicals.
