I am Pollyana, Brazilian, 27 years old and mother of a beautiful 2 years old little boy, married with the man of my life. At the moment I live in Scotland with my husband, son and my parents in law.
It was in New Zealand (2008) that I fell deeply in love first with Yoga and also with the man who is now my husband. When I first started I was doing Karma Yoga: cleaning the studio and attending classes for free. Yoga became the most important thing for me, I was practising it every day, sometimes twice a day. I worked a lot in New Zealand to be able to afford to travel. One month I did not have enough money to pay the studio so I stopped going; two weeks later the owner came to my work place and asked me why I was not going to the yoga classes, I told him the reason and he said to me that the studio without me wasn't the same and that I could go for free until l had the money to pay for it. I cannot say how happy I was when I heard that!
After 2 years in New Zealand I started to travel. I went to Thailand for 3 months (where I did a Thai Yoga massage course and also was introduced to Chi Gong), India for another 3 months (where I did Vipassana and an Oil Massage Course) and in the end of 2009, back in Brazil I did a Reiki course. I know that my path lies with Yoga, that I need to work with something that involves spirituality. I want to be able to help people to learn more about themselves and also to help them to be happy and content being who they are. Yoga is my passion!! It helped me to be a better person in all aspects, it was the entrance to a magical, colorful, balanced and healthy world. I just love it! I want to be able to share it with other people.
I am already a Kids Yoga Teacher: it has been almost a year since I did my training (www.yogabananas.com), but I know that I'll feel complete when I do a Yoga Teacher Training for adults. Ali - my husband - is a Yoga Teacher: we have a web site www.yogafrog.co.uk and a Yoga Frog page on facebook. Please, have a look!
Our dream is one day to buy land and create a centre with yoga, massage, reiki, good food, etc.. a place where people could come and feed their soul. I always said to my husband that when we have our retreat and we are teaching people how to become yoga teachers we will make an opportunity for one person to come each time for free and help us with the course. The reason for this is that I know how bad it is when you want to do something that you love but for financial reasons you are not able to do so.
My friend at my son's Mother and Toddler group told me about this course and that made my eyes shine with hope. When I saw that the course includes partner yoga team building (I love doing it with my husband), alignment based vinyasa flow incorporating qi gong and Thai massage therapy, I thought "this is so much ME!!" And that made me super excited about this opportunity!!
Thank you ever so much for voting!!
