A Spiritual Journey of an Apprentice

print email
Modalities: Spiritual Poetry
The spiritual journey can be very confusing, which may cast some doubt,
and the most avid apprentice can sometimes become lost,
within the many phases of learning the intricacies
for what their purpose is primarily about.

At times it may seem that the journey is continuously repeated,
when the interest of the apprentice flickers or yearns to bow out.
For as each step becomes more difficult to comprehend,
the apprentice's ego must be restrained to gently be deleted.

Disciplined training will maintain a balanced flow,
but the naive apprentice may still be lured
to quench the sweet nectar of material diversions,
thus shifting future development from quick to slow.

And during initiation it is important to bear in mind,
that while the apprentice continues to seek and to search,
the spiritual journey remains a challenging process
for becoming more humble, more loving, considerate and kind.

An apprentice can be guided by those who have travelled the path before,
just be wary before selecting a mentor of choice.
For the spiritual journey can be completed without a helping hand,
although it's easier to be shown by someone who perhaps offers more.

But before the spiritual journey can be duly completed,
the apprentice's level of consciousness must rise to new heights.
Where the "Will" complies in final surrender to the cosmic forces,
into a spiritual union of one that cannot be denied or ever cheated.

Only then can the apprentice trust the final phase of the spiritual goal,
where greater knowledge and wisdom is infinitely shared.
And the blessings of inner joy, contentment and peace that is gained,
will bring enlightenment to the apprentice's eternal soul.
