The Spirit of Your Soul

print email
Modalities: Spiritual Poetry

If the spirit of your soul causes you to sit up and pay attention,
consider this a spiritual blessing, rather than dissension.
Sometimes gifts are revealed through suffering hardships or an illness,
intended to open awareness in order to regain inner stillness.

In its continuous hunger for more expansion and growth,
the soul will seek experiences, whether good, bad or both.
For it needs to feel the emotions connected to joy or pain,
so the spirit of your soul can advance through whatever it gains.

Each opportunity can be used to convene to the infinite source,
a realm of spiritual consciousness that is an asset – a vast resource.
The spirit of your soul will remind you of who you really are,
and why you are here or what you have achieved, thus far.

Although you must heed each gentle nudging; knowing when it feels just right,
with true dedication and discipline, it warrants far greater insight.
And then your very essence will be linked to a cosmos so sublime,
to access higher knowledge that is sometimes difficult to define.

The spirit of your soul is on a journey with a mission to complete,
which may take many lifetimes, because it’s unwilling to accept defeat.
It will suffer through indignities, but also reap many glories of success,
keeping your soul’s development as its prime concern, at best.

Each level of its existence will help to build upon the goal,
to reach a certain pinnacle - to become one with the whole.
Surpassing a physical reality that seems more like a dream,
so it can finally return to its spiritual domain, which cannot be seen.

For when the spirit of your soul has achieved its ultimate aim,
it will lose its need to initiate another Earthly game.
And contentment will be perceived with intenseness so bright,
because the spirit of your soul has now become pure light.
