Media Invitation
During May and June, 2011, I was unexpectedly approached by the media via e-mail and telephone. They invited me to forecast the game scores for the Grey Cup hockey game. The media thought that this would be a “different and fun thing” to do.
Although I understood their rationale and interest, I politely declined on each occasion, but with good cause.
Be Responsible
There are many professional psychic readers who would see this as a golden opportunity to receive some free advertising or perhaps gain personal recognition.
Through personal choice, technically I am not a professional psychic reader and therefore do not offer private readings. I prefer to teach Psychic Arts in which I mentor others to develop and strengthen their own unique intuitive abilities.
But as a teacher of psychic development, I also firmly believe that anyone who practices the Psychic Arts should do so with serious professional accountability. It’s not very flattering for Psychic Arts to be regarded as being hocus-pokus or airy-fairy, as some call it, so I do my best to treat the trade with respect.
Psychic Arts is not a game and therefore should always be offered in a responsible manner. And since I instruct this ruling to others, then I must practice what I preach.
Avoid Sensationalizing
Professional psychic readers who operate with integrity will avoid using their psychic skills to sensationalize their status. Gaining fame or wealth will not be the prime directive for their motive.
If psychic readers use their skills as a form of trivial game-playing, then it diminishes the value of their trade. It becomes nothing more than a sensationalized parlour game. And from past history this is how psychics received a bad reputation, which doesn’t make it easy for those who currently offer their skills with truthful honour.
Future Predictions
What most people don’t realize is that forecasting future predictions is not easy. In the spiritual realm there is no time or space; therefore timelines can only be a rough estimate (or guesstimate) and the information is only effective the very moment in time that it is given.
Future predictions are also dependent on the psychic reader’s skill for accurate interpretation. Being psychic is not a “gift” as many believe. It is an innate ability that everyone possesses, but it must be practiced and mastered in order to become proficient. And as with any trade, practitioners achieve levels of proficiency that range from bad, good, better or best.
It is important to be aware that the best psychic readers in the world may prove 80% accuracy, but never 100%. Any psychic who assures or boasts 100% accuracy is not being truthful to self or to clients.
Altered Circumstances
A person receiving the prediction still maintains “free will” at all times. Therefore, any change to decisions they make following their reading can alter their life circumstances, which in turn may change the forecasted prediction.
As long as people are aware of the conditions surrounding a prediction, then it shouldn’t pose a problem. With this knowledge in mind, if a forecasted prediction fails to transpire, then this will help to eliminate becoming overly disappointed or depressed.
However, there are some who actually live their life, plus conduct themselves based solely on psychic forecasting. In other words, they become totally dependent on, or addicted to predictions. This is a very unhealthy, plus an unreasonable attitude to have. Unfortunately, they fail to realize that psychic readings should only be viewed as “possibilities” instead of “certainties.”
Personal Decision
If you are currently a professional psychic reader or are considering joining the trade, then be sure to give considerable attention when deciding whether you want to participate in psychic forecasting.
To do so, you assume a huge responsibility and one that should never be taken lightly.
First, consider the outcome of your actions:
- Who is receiving the information? Is the client of legal age? Is the client mature, plus mentally and emotionally stable?
- How will psychic predictions overtly affect the client for the short-term (present) or the long-term (future)?
- Are you careful to avoid using scare tactics steeped in superstitious nonsense?
- Are you careful to avoid revealing damaging information or carelessly casting harmful predictions?
Finally, ask yourself, “Are you prepared to be accountable and to accept the consequences of your actions?” If you are, then may you be blessed with profound insight that will help others find meaningful answers which create expanded awareness, peaceful closure and truthful clarity.
