What Is My Healer Talking About?
With the blessings of and credit to, my beloved Teacher Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui, I will be discussing some of the terms that are used in the world of energy healing, energy medicine and spirituality. This article is meant for current energy healers and those looking to hire energy healers.
First off, to the Healers…please stop speaking jargon to the general public! They do not understand what the heck you are talking about, they think you’re nuts and it’s not helping the cause of promoting and spreading energy medicine and energy healing throughout the world.
Early on as Pranic Healer, I realized Grandmaster Choa wanted the world of energy medicine and spirituality to have set terms, definitions, and descriptions so we could all communicate effectively, similar to allopathic medicine. A traditional medical doctor trained in Los Angeles would be able to practice medicine in China or India because allopathic training, terminology and protocols are similar.
If you ask three energy workers or three spiritual practitioners, “What is the Soul?” Or, “Where is the spleen chakra located?” Or, “What factors determine a successful energy healing session?” Or, “What’s the difference between concentration and awareness?” You will get dozens of answers and some of them conflicting. Grandmaster Choa was a chemical engineer by training and a great student of the esoteric (that which is hidden), exoteric (common sense or traditional religious doctrine) and spiritual teachings. He began to connect the dots; when this Mystery School said ‘Oversoul’ with its description and another Esoteric School says ‘Divine Spark’ with a similar description; he saw the connection and developed the appropriate terms. A system of energy medicine was forming; a process that was duplicable, replicable, understandable, and applicable. When a fellow Pranic Healer says Incarnated Soul, Higher Soul, and Divine Spark, one immediately understands what she is talking about and what she is trying to communicate.
Let’s discuss some popular terms of energy medicine; chakras, aura, health rays, prana and third-eye.
Chakras (pronounced CHakra, not Shakra) is a Sanskrit word that means, “Wheel.” These energy centers are located throughout the body and their job is to absorb, distribute, assimilate and expel prana. A chakra rotates bringing in fresh prana and expelling old, used up prana. Almost every chakra has a physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspect related to the energy body. Each chakra has different mixtures of color pranas or colored energies, not the typical solid colors of Green for the Heart, Yellow for the Sex, one would find on a 'Chakra Chart' at the bookstore.
For all the energy healers out there, “Where does it say in the yogic texts that there are ONLY 7-chakras?” There are many levels of truth, yes there are 7 chakras, AND many more. Some esoteric schools talk about there being over 1,000 chakras located throughout the energy body. There is a chakra that affects blood pressure, which is not identified in the traditional 7-Chakra model. So as an energy worker are you doing your client a disservice by leaving that chakra out of a healing protocol?
Pranic Healing teaches the 11 Major chakras, their exact location, and exact functions. In my study of other energy healers, I asked myself the question, “Why is this healer speaking of the spleen and sex chakras as one chakra? They are located in different areas of the body with different functions.” Pranic Healing has provided its students with tools to validate the location and function of the chakras through scanning (feeling the subtle energies), clairvoyance (viewing the subtle energies), and developing protocols that require the manipulation of each chakra to produce a successful healing.
Next is the aura; a bioplasmic field that surrounds the body. Here’s a question…”What makes up the aura?” It is the overflow energy of the chakras. The aura has several layers and functions as a barrier to contaminates ; protecting one from physical and energetic germs, and psychic attacks. “How do these contaminates leave aura?” Through the health rays which are like the pores of the energy body.
Now we have the term ‘prana’, also a Sanskrit word which means ‘Life Force’ or energy. In Japanese it is called Ki, in Chinese it is called Chi, and in Hebrew it is called Ruah. The word ‘prana’ has become a catchall term with its meaning being diluted. There are many types of prana i.e. color, source, purpose, amounts, etc. Each type of prana serves a specific purpose and method of accessing.
Lastly is the elusive third-eye. Master Choa was not a born clairvoyant but during the formative years of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, Master Choa had access to some of the world’s best clairvoyants who used their abilities to help develop and validate his healing and meditation protocols. Here’s another question for the energy healers, “Where is the third-eye located?” If you said, “In-between the eyebrows.” Or “On the forehead.” I would say, “It depends.” There are several levels of clairvoyance. Did you know to see an Angel requires one type of clairvoyance and to see a cancerous cell requires another? Through Master Choa’s course on Higher Clairvoyance he teaches one to develop the levels of clairvoyance and how to activate each on at will. Have you ever been to a psychic reader? Did you know there are many factors that determine how accurate their readings are? If you don’t know what those factors are your reading could be more damaging than beneficial. Master Choa said some of the best clairvoyants in the world are only accurate 80-90% of the time and that’s only a handful.
In summary, the world of energy healing, energy medicine, and spiritually is filled with many people of Goodwill that lack the proper training and correct use of terms. We must produce miraculous results on regular basis throughout the world, to end the suffering of our fellow beings. Let’s unite in a system of energy medicine dedicated to developing universal terms through proper research methodology and experimentation. Rather than our egos, let our results speak for themselves.
With many blessings of light, love, and power to you and your family.
