No Woman Should Have to Suffer From Dense Breasts
By Allison – client*
You may have dense breasts or know someone who suffers from this.
Symptoms include swollen, tender breasts with one or more lumps. You may have this in both breasts. Fibrocystic disease is common and usually benign. Breast tissue may feel like an irregularly shaped area of thicker tissue with lumpy or ridge like surface. Breasts may also feel like tiny beads scattered throughout the breast. They are usually found in the upper outer area and underside of usually both breasts.
Breast discomfort may have a feeling of fullness, heaviness to dull ache, extreme sensitivity to touch or burning sensation. Some have severe pain making exercising or laying on their abdomen impossible. Self-examinations are difficult with so many lumps in the breast. It is hard to know if any are cancerous or not.
Some feel hormones play a big part in fibroid formations. Drinking coffee, tea and cola beverages and smoking are believed to indicate a higher incidence and greater extent of fibrocystic disease. Fibrocystic disease of the breast is a prevalent condition. It is estimated 33% of all women ages 30-50 and 60% of all women have breast fibroids.
With the new Canadian study just released on dense breasts, women should be very concerned if they have dense breasts. Women with 75% density in their breasts compared to 10% have a six-fold elevation in breast cancer risk. In fact, it is an extremely important risk factor. Between16% to 30% can be attributed to breast cancer, depending on a woman’s age. Dense breasts mask cancerous tumors in the breast making them difficult to see with mammograms. Other tests have to be included to make sure that cancer is not seen in the breast, and therefore, making this very costly for the healthcare system.
I was one of these women a few years ago with dense breasts. I was being called for a mammogram every 6 months. I was scared. When they asked me to go for an ultrasound after the mammogram, I was terrified. Then, there was a few agonizing days waiting for the results to get to my doctor.
During this time, I was in contact with Lorraine Mignault of Winnipeg. I explained what was happening. Lorraine told me how to make a lifestyle change. This was not a diet. It was after these changes that my fibroids disappeared and I have never had them since. I no longer have to go for mammograms every 6 months.
Lorraine Mignault has a published book called Die Healthy: Pursuing the Dream of Wellness and Longevity which can be bought through McNally Robinson Booksellers**. As a scientist and award-winning inventor, Lorraine offers a fresh perspective on health.
In her book, she talks about health concerns and how her dietary/disease intervention technology can impact health. She believes there is also a correlation between mismanagement of insulin and blood sugar levels in the body and the development of breast fibroids. There is a correlation with smoking and caffeine on insulin and blood sugar levels. With the elimination of breast fibroids, this can lead to an abundance of health on many other levels.
Other benefits from her lifestyle change are:
− Weight loss
− Management and/or elimination of other degenerative conditions – e.g. diabetes, cardiovascular condition, arthritis
− Controlled and satisfied appetite – with no cravings
− Improved emotional and mental health
− Improved sleep quality
− Healthier looking skin and hair
− More youthful appearance
− More attractive figure/body shape – often brings compliments
− Greater choice of clothing designs – and better fit due to some of the above changes
The book Die Healthy: Pursuing the Dream of Wellness and Longevity is a must read for anyone who suffers from dense breasts. No woman should ever need to suffer from dense breasts.
