Asthma is a serious disease that kills thousands of people each year and adds billions to our nation's healthcare costs. One in twelve people have been diagnosed with asthmas and many have been treated with dangerous drugs without successfully curing it. Learn about a holistic treatment for asthma that cures asthma.
When I was in elementary school, it was very unusual to have a classmate with asthma. Today, at kids’ soccer games, if one child has a breathing problem, you may see half a dozen parents running onto the field with inhalers. Asthma is a pulmonary illness that causes wheezing, tightness in the chest, coughing, and shortness of breath; and it has become a near epidemic. According to researchers for the U.S. government, 1 in 12 people now have asthma. This figure continues to rise, despite efforts to control key triggers such as indoor smoking.
"Asthma is a serious, lifelong disease that unfortunately kills thousands of people each year and adds billions to our nation's healthcare costs," stated CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden.
But that is only part of the picture. The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention has found that an additional 4.3 million people were diagnosed with asthma between 2001 and 2009; and the Environmental Protection Agency reported to Newsweek that asthma rates in children are doubling. Several drugs, such as Advair, Serevent, Foradil, and Symbicort, are commonly used to treat asthma, but they are not without dangers. In fact, on December 9, 2008, Food and Drug Administration officials issued a statement warning of the increased risk of death associated with these drugs and suggested that their approval be severely limited or withdrawn altogether.
And despite the fact that guidelines don't recommend antibiotics for asthma, they are prescribed to nearly one million children in the U.S. each year. Overprescribing antibiotics promotes the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, in addition to the usual side effects.
What triggers Asthma?

Holistic approaches for Asthma
There is no definitive scientific explanation for the natural healing of asthma. However, one thing is clear: asthma is reversible. One need only visit Amazon.com to see the books that contain many testimonials and experiences of patients worldwide.
The reverse asthma phenomenon has occurred with mind/body approaches, without using medications. Asthma symptoms have been completely eliminated many times by various holistic health care providers and diverse healing methods. The most documented healing technique for winning the war against asthma and allergies is NAET (pronounced nate). Currently, over 10,000 health care practitioners worldwide utilize the NAET therapy to treat their asthmatic patients.
As one of the original NAET practitioners, I have found that both the symptoms and triggers of asthma can be completely neutralized. Years of clinical experience have demonstrated that once an allergy has been eliminated with NAET, the symptoms do not return. That’s why so many holistic doctors have come to favor this method. Robert Sampson, MD says, "At a time when food sensitivities, asthma, and environmental allergies are increasing at an alarming rate, NAET offers a safe, effective alternative to drug treatments that yields exceptional results." Dr. Ann McCombs says, "NAET is a non-invasive, natural procedure to reverse food allergies. No needles and no medications, making it a very gentle therapy."
Over 5,000 children each year die from asthmatic attacks, and currently there is no medical cure in sight.
As of May 2012, Asthma cases continues to rise. Latest numbers from the CDC find 19 million adults and 7 million kids have the illness today. Isn't it time to try an holistic solution.
