A little more than a week ago a long time friend of my son was assaulted on his way home from work. The assailants left him beaten with a shattered jaw and months of physical and emotional healing ahead of him. He is 25.
He began to blog after surgery to help him sort the experience:
“ … my hospital meds started to wear off and it was brutal. I had to also clean off all the dried blood and anaesthesia that had been left in my beard since the operation. The pain was un-bearable. I started taking the prescribed meds that the docs gave … these tiny little pills no bigger than a single nerd candy and they are 3 times stronger than morphine. They gave me insane tripped out dreams. I’m trying not to take them during the …Washing out my metal mouth with all my rods and screws is also a harsh procedure. Everything is cutting and slashing inside my mouth right now but hopefully in a week, my mouth will start to get used to it.”

“I just had a panic attack… for no f-ing reason. God this sucks”
A friend of his started a 14 day on-line fund raising project in hopes of helping him with housing, food and medical/dental/therapy expenses as he recovers. They suggested cash donations, gift cards, services or in kind donations. This got me thinking.
I work for VitalityLink.com because I believe what we are doing is truly going to change the world by connecting people suffering emotional and physical pain with those who can help them.
I also believe in the power of alternative medicine/therapies as in my life I have been the receiver of their benefits and have been privileged to have eased the pain in others.
My goal is to gift him with therapies to assist him on his path to emotional and physical healing. Unfortunately, I do not know enough about the vast modalities to confidently choose which one/s will help him most. Because we are whole human beings I want to be sure to consider holistically his challenges and needs. I need help to do this effectively, which is why I am posting this article.

What I believe to be some conditions he needs help with are:
- Pain management
- Tissue and bone healing
- Emotional trauma
- Insomnia
- Anxiety and panic attacks
I would be most grateful if any practitioners who read this could please add to my list some other conditions he may be facing that I am unaware of and any insight into possible therapies or techniques that I can learn about for him. This would enable me to gift him with healing.
What happened to him was unimaginable. I want his recovery to be even more unimaginably successful.
- What treatments or therapies would you recommend he consider and why?
- Can you recommend a practitioner in Vancouver, Canada that might be good for him to see?
Thank you in advance for reading and hopefully for sharing.

On the emotional side, I know that Focused Intention Technique (FIT) will help as well. It will remove the feelings of anxiety, fear, panic attacks etc. and replace them with postive emotions. At the time of a traume we make a decision about ourselves, others and the world that most of the time we do not even realize we did and it becomes stored in our subconscious. FIT is an incredible 11 step process that is a technique you, once you expereince and learn it, will have as a healing tool for the rest of your life. FIT uses the bodies wisdom to remove negative emotions held in our cells and heart. I live in Edmonton but I could do a healing with you over the phone so you can experience it firsthand. I can, of course, also do an over the phone treatment with your sons friend but because you do healing touch already I can walk you thorugh the process so you can do the treatment on him yourself. Of couse, it will take more than one treatment but even one session will make him feel so much betterl and will eliminate his panick attacks, anxiety, fears etc. Since there is a good vareity of information available for you to read about Focused Intention Technique on viatlity link I didn't repeat too much of it here. Just search Focused Intention Technique and you will find me, Fran Welter and also Loretta Mohl, the founder of the modality. Please feel free to call me to discuss at 780-340-6708 or email me at franwelter
Five years ago, working with Loretta and FIT changed my life and the expereience made me want to become a practitioner so I could help as many people as I could so they too could eliminate negative emotions held in their cell and heart.
