Modalities: Focused Intention Technique (FIT)

Did you know the-heart-has-its-own-brain-and-is-a-key-intuitive-centre.  It's not hard to believe when you think about it.  When something just doesn't seem right you will get a gut feeling (also intuition) which is actually a signal from your heart centered consciousness.   Your heart and cells hold all the memories from your whole life.  Memories that you cant even recall are stored by your body.  Focused Intention Technique (FIT) can lead the heart and cells to get to the core reason certain emotional triggers are disrupting peace and joy to be in your life.  FIT will   reawaken any and all happy emotions that have been dormant or closed off by our self defense mechanisms when we have been hurt or been through a trauma or accident.

FIT can also clear blockages in your bodies energy meridians called Chakras which is a very important  aspect to achieve a complete feeling of wellness and peace.  There are seven chakras (literally “wheels”) that store energy/life force/prana.  They are along the spinal column and correlate to major nerve ganglia branching forth from the spinal column.  Each has a different relationship to a gland in the body’s endocrine system.   Red is the color of the 1st Chakra, known as the root or base around the pelvic area or base of the spine. When balanced a person will feel as though they have stability in their life. When imbalanced a person will feel as though they have no foundation to stand on.  Orange is the color of the 2nd Chakra, known as the sacral. It is located below the navel. When balanced a person will feel creative, spontaneous and playful. When imbalanced a person will feel uninspired, bored by life, and potentially sexually blocked.  Yellow is the color of the 3rd Chakra, known as the solar. It is located between the navel and the chest. When balanced a person will feel confident, self-assured and ready to meet life's challenges. When imbalanced a person will feel a lack of self-esteem, inadequate, and taken advantage of.   Green is the color of the 4th Chakra, known as the heart. It is located at the center of the chest. When balanced a person will feel loving towards themselves and others. When imbalanced a person will feel relationship issues are insurmountable, stuck in the past with painful memories, and unworthy of being loved.  Blue is the color of the 5th Chakra, known as the throat. It is located at the throat. When balanced a person will feel expressive and as though they can communicate clearly with others. When imbalanced a person will feel as though their words get misunderstood frequently, withdrawn from those around them, or as though they can't share their thoughts and ideas with others.   Indigo is the color of the 6th Chakra, known as the third eye. It is located at the center of the forehead just above the eyebrows. When balanced a person will feel as though they live their life being intuitively guided to correct decisions, a connection with their sixth sense abilities, and in touch with their spirit guides. When imbalanced a person may feel a complete lack of direction in their lives, overwhelmed by choices and unable to make decisions, and cut off from guidance.   Violet is the color of the 7th Chakra, known as the crown. It is located at the top of the head. When balanced a person will feel a strong connection with the divine (spirituality), a connection to the universe and everything in it, and inspired to live a life with meaning. When imbalanced a person can feel as though their thinking is fuzzy and clouded, depressed, and as though there is no purpose to their life.

Experiencing And Learning FIT Will give your the knowingness of following  your heart even when your head is telling you otherwise?  It takes practice but it is very important to listen to your thoughts and immediately change negative to positive.  Also listen to your heart and intuition for the right answers in your life.   We are often encouraged to follow our heart and not our head, but sometimes we may feel we have to defer to “logic”.   With Focused intention technique in your life your heart thoughts will easily overcome your logic or analyzing thoughts from the brain.

The heart is so strong and holds the truths.  Practicing going to heart center will help ensure logic has to agree.  “Negative emotions such as anger, frustration, and anxiety (all negative emotions) disturb  the heart rhythm.  Positive emotions such as appreciation, love, or compassion produce coherent or functional patterns.  Focused intention technique will easily help you achieve the positive thoughts and energies.  " Feelings distributed throughout the body, produce chemical changes within the entire system.” The Subtle Body, An Encyclopedia of Your Energetic Anatomy by Cyndi Dale.

Ever wonder how often the heart wins out over the brain and perhaps why?  “After extensive research, one of the early pioneers in neurocardiology, Dr. J. Andrew Armour, introduced the concept of a functional “heart brain” in 1991. His work revealed that the heart has a complex intrinsic nervous system that is sufficiently sophisticated to qualify as a “little brain” in its own right. The heart’s brain is an intricate network of several types of neurons, neurotransmitters, proteins and support cells like those found in the brain proper.”

http://www.heartmath.org/research/science-of-the-heart/introduction.html.

The heart’s electromagnetic field (EMF) is also much stronger than our brains EMF which might explain the heart’s influence over the brain’s “logic”:

“The heart’s electromagnetic field (EMF) emits fifty thousand femtoteslas (a measure of EMF), in contrast to the ten generated by the brain.  Other research shows that when separated from the magnetic field, the heart’s electrical field is sixty times greater thin amplitude than the brain’s field.  Through this field, a person’s nervous system tunes in to and responds to the magnetic fields produced by the hearts of other people.”  The Subtle Body, An Encyclopedia of Your Energetic Anatomy by Cyndi Dale.  (Let’s remember this when we want to speak “heart-to-heart”.)

“The heart’s electromagnetic field—by far the most powerful rhythmic field produced by the human body—not only envelops every cell of the body but also extends out in all directions into the space around us. The cardiac field can be measured several feet away from the body by sensitive devices. Research conducted at the Institute of HeartMath (IHM) Research Center suggests that the heart’s field is an important carrier of information.”  http://www.heartmath.org/research/science-of-the-heart/head-heart-interactions.html

Other “research conducted at the Institute of HeartMath (IHM) Research Center showcase the heart at a key intuitive center, responding even to information about the future.” The Subtle Body, An Encyclopedia of Your Energetic Anatomy, by Cyndi Dale.

So following our heart isn’t exactly fool’s play and sounds an awful lot like intuition.  Don’t we often refer to following our heart as following our “gut”, or intuition?  Enough said.  Isn’t your heart really telling you what you want to do—what you should do?

Clairvoyance and intuition “develop in a much wiser stronger way, naturally, along with the development of the heart chakra.  The more open one’s heart, the easier one finds it to understand others, and therefore to accept, forgive, and embrace them.  When FIT is practiced daily the  heart centered Conciousness' intuitive abilities develop naturally, within a spiritual realm.

The heart is “an organ of communication that can potentially manage the body’s intuitive processes.  It’s organically capable of performing certain brain-like functions.  In fact, between 60 and 65 percent of its cells are neural, identical to those present in the brain.  Energy—information that vibrates—flows constantly between the heart and the brain, assisting with emotional processing, sensory experience, memory and derivation of meaning from events, and reasoning.

When a person consciously ‘centers’ or focuses in the heart, the heart begins to run the brain.  (typically, the brain runs the body.)  Practicing FIT in the management of the body through the heart rather than brain leads to higher functioning mental and emotional states, as well as a healthier body.  It also enables a person to screen the outer environment for ‘good messages’ instead of ‘negative messages,’ enabling a more positive relationship with the external world.”  The Subtle Body, An Encyclopedia of Your Energetic Anatomy, by Cyndi Dale.

If you thought your brain was running the show, tou can change that concept as research finds that the heart initiates the first response  to incoming events with the truth and wisdom within while the brain tries to entice you with analytical thoughts to change your mind.    Use the wisdom in your heart with focused intention technique everyday to ensure you live life to the fullest with your heart and soul filled with peace, love and joy.  Having the knowingness of FIT in your life will give you a blessing to be able to get through any and all difficult situations with grace and ease and without feeling hatred towards people that have done you wrong.  I can say that  is an amazing feeling to not have that horrible feeling in tie stomach when someone does you wrong.   I highly recommend FIT.  It is a truly amazing life changing healing modality.

Hi Fran,
It has always been my practice to thank someone who has positively impacted me in any way. Reading your article was so very interesting and I gained insight about this wonderful field of F.I.T. If the hearts electrical field is sixty times greater in amplitude than the brain that explains why my heart seems to win out most times - logic does at times but its great to have them cooperate to make for a happier life and loving decisions for yourself and others. I will check out your information on line and add in some practice so my heart will guide logic along in a positive way.
The Chakra explanation was very good as well. Very clear and concise for me.
There are many techniques I have been learning right along and F.I.T. is great to add for myself and others I can help if possible.
Thank you so much for sharing!

Hi Fran, great post, and it's so true, we have a complex and adaptive neural network or 'brain' in our heart. But you know, we also have one in our gut, and its much larger and more complex, having over 500 Million neurons compared to the 50,000 in the heart. And the implications are profound!

Informed by the recent Neuroscience findings about the discovery of functional and complex neural networks or 'brains' in the heart and gut, we've just completed 2.5 years of behavioral modeling research on the core competencies of these brains and how they communicate and integrate with the head brain. We've written about our findings and the models and techniques in our recently published book 'mBraining'. See www.mbraining.com for more info if you are interested.

For example, one of the many things we've uncovered in our work is that much of intuition is processed in both the heart and gut brains, and indeed the gut brain goes through a sleeping cycle each night that mimics and integrates with the equivalent of the head brain. When the head brain is dreaming during REM sleep, the gut brain is undergoing RGM (Rapid Gut Movement) sleep. The research indicates that it is during these periods, that intuitions are being communicated from the gut and heart, via the vagus channels, to the head. There are lots of distinctions and techniques that come out of these insights, and match completely what you've been writing and talking about in your blog.

I hope you find this backup to your own work as fascinating as we do.
