Think Outside of the COLON

print email
Modalities: Colonic Hydrotherapy

When a perspective client contacts me for information on Colon Hydrotherapy, a common question is; how many colonics do I need?

As a Therapist, how do you answer?

·   Is your response based on the client’s individual circumstance?

·   As a certified Colon Hydrotherapist, has your training, experience and understanding taught you to see-with-clear-glasses?

·   Do objective findings guide you to the next question?

Somehow, the accepted answer has become three, six, twelve, twenty or up to thirty. And, the sessions must be close together to get everything out.

Oh how absurd; ridiculous and ludicrous.

An error common to the general public and most colon therapists is the concept or belief there is something wrong with the Large Intestine. The entire Internet, most health-minded companies and many colon therapists advertise butt flooding and / or taking their product will somehow fix my Colon.

Yes, changing your diet; increasing water intake; exercising and meditation are excellent. A few Colon Irrigations will be beneficial. If you want to feel better, this is a good start. However, there is nothing sufficient to make reliable and fundamental changes in your lifestyle or cultivate a solid foundation for true freedom.

We know about cause and effect. If you keep hitting your head with a hammer, you do not take aspirin and keep hitting. Stop! Do something different, change it. I am confident in saying - without addressing the cause of bondage, whether emotional, mental, spiritual or physical, we may improve at best…with limitations.

Why think outside of the Colon?

One of two crucial aspects to consider in the physiology of the gastrointestinal tract is the Nervous System; by far of most importance. Dr. Michael G. Gershon, M.D., wrote, If the Enteric nervous system has not operated optimally, and propulsion in the colon has been too slow…this is not normal and means the individual is constipated. Doc Childre and Howard Martin report, If we live in a stressed-out state all the time, we become use to imbalance.

The Autonomic nervous system (ANS) acts as a control system for body functions, below our awareness. Both Sympathetic (SNS) and Parasympathetic (PSNS) nervous systems maintain homeostasis. The general action of the Sympathetic nervous system is coordinating the body’s resources under stress, whether emotional or physical threats, actual or imagined.

Personally, I have observed the inability to think and fully feel, simultaneously. My studies, training and over three-decades of personal work have demonstrated the futility of perpetual thinking. This means, as a whole, stress of all types is potentially detrimental to the eleven systems which make my vessel.

The Enteric nervous system (ENS), a subdivision of the PNS, has direct control of the gastrointestinal tract, especially digestion and more significant, elimination. Dr. Gershon also writes, …the nervous system is the only component of the body that possesses the necessary ability to integrate information and use it to coordinate the activity of the glands.

The Work I facilitate with clients and students comes from proven experience. Proper education and understanding of the body is essential; you start where you are. Remaining accurate to my ground breaking Colon Hydrotherapy work of 1977~1982, now identified as the original-work of Colon Hydrotherapy, I focus on the origins of Joy; Mechanics and Function. The SIMPLEST practice makes the greatest difference.

My best teacher, John Walker Davis, challenged me in 1984. He said, Test what I say and prove me wrong. Twenty-six years later, he is still precise and never was untrue.

Observe self; engage in conscious feeling. The Body does not lie, only the mind is deceitful.
