Allergies....or Neurological Stress?
Seasonal Allergies are upon us. Coughing, sniffling, sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, sinus pressure, sinus headaches, and skin irritations are all symptoms associated with seasonal allergies. Pharmaceutical companies are ramping up there marketing for common allergy medications that you can now buy over the counter. The price-range of these medications runs anywhere from $80 to $200 per month, and some are actually taken year round. The side effects of these common and popular medications are: dizziness, headache, stomach upset, fatigue, dry mouth, wheezing, hyperactivity, abdominal pain, “pink eye”, voice changes, a general ill feeling, drowsiness, and upper respiratory infections.
Severe allergic reactions include: rashes, hives, itching, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue, earaches, fever, severe or persistent coughing or vomiting. Much like many medications, which cover up symptoms and never address the actual cause of the problem, the side effects can be worse than the symptoms themselves or even exacerbate the same symptoms.
By definition, “Allergies are abnormal or inappropriate reactions of the nervous system that occur in response to otherwise harmless substances.” – Alternative Medicine Encyclopedia
Simply put...your body is reacting negatively to an otherwise harmless substance. This error in perception occurs during times when the nervous system has encountered stress. The stress can be physical, chemical or emotional in nature. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease states that “Exposure to allergens at certain times when the body’s defenses are lowered or weakened, such as a viral infection or pregnancy, seems to contribute to the development of allergies.”
Picture this scenario... It’s spring time, the flowers, trees, grasses and weeds are in bloom. There is a storm coming in so the barometer pressure is changing. Suppose you are driving along with your windows down enjoying your Starbucks Caramel Macchiato, when your car is suddenly rear ended. The stored complex-memory includes: the sound of the crash, the pain and stiffness in the neck, the headache, the sudden increased heart beat and respiration, the barometer pressure, the tulip pollen and maple pollens, as well as the EMOTION of the moment, such as ANGER, FEAR, and any other you can imagine.
At any time in the future, the pollens, barometer pressure changes, the sound of a car crash, may bring out those same physiological expressions, even though you were not involved THIS TIME. Alternatively, the next time you drink your Starbucks coffee, you may experience ANGER, FEAR, the headache, or even the neck pain or stiffness, and increased heart rate – because that is the way the brain remembers it.
Each day each one of us experiences these types of traumas. And these traumas can cause our nervous systems to tag certain substances, stimuli and emotions as being harmful to us, as being errors. These errors occur on a cellular—and in some cases—a deep subconscious level that we would never educatedly be able to figure out why all of a sudden we have seasonal allergies or we get headaches each time we drink coffee, or why we get a headache and neck pain each time there is a storm about to come in or the weather changes. Taking drugs and getting shots to cover up symptoms is not correcting the error.
Correcting the error requires a technology called Neurological Stress Reduction Therapy. This system uses micro-frequencies to read the body’s responses to stimuli and to determine which frequencies the nervous system senses as harmful. Once the top stressors are identified, the frequencies are imbedded into a low-level light laser, and the laser is applied to certain points on the body. The body produces endorphins and enkephalins, which are the “happy”, “feeling good” chemicals that the body naturally produces. Exposure to the micro-frequencies at the same time that the body is making endorphins causes the body to “flip” or “reset” it’s previously negative reaction. Therefore, any unwanted symptoms associated with those substances will stop. Most people have layers of stressors effecting their nervous system which takes anywhere from 4 - 10 treatments to correct. All of this happens without the use of drugs and/or needles.
